Biography
Kriss Kortz (Life Recorder) discovered electronic dance music in 1991 with radios shows and early techno/rave music compilations. He found his main influences in techno and house coming from Detroit and Chicago’s classic underground and also France’s contemporary scene. In 2005 his remix of Laurent Garnier’s “Controlling the house” was selected as a contest winner which quickly propelled him to bigger and better things.
He co-established “Code 316 recordings” with respected French veteran producer Maxx-T, releasing the “First message EP” which was charted as techno record of the month in French “Trax” magazine’s 2006 October issue.
Kriss continues to develop his music; recent successes include the licensing of a track to Orlando Voorn’s “Session from the deep” compilation on Claude Young’s label Cynet media, remixes for Night Drive Music in Germany and now on Australian’s Itinerant Records.
